Academics

Middle School

The Middle School years are all about change and growth, which is why ensuring you are partnered with a school that can support and encourage you and your student through these transitional years is vital.
Our program is uniquely organized so that 6th grade is a fully transitional year, ensuring students successfully make the leap from Elementary School to Middle School. Students then move into 7th and 8th grade where they continue to develop the academic and organizational skills that prepare them for High School.

But the key to our excellent Middle School program is our dedicated staff and their desire to point students to see all of life through the lens of a Biblical Worldview. That means that as Middle School students struggle with identity, purpose, and acceptance, our staff is walking alongside them not only academically but also spiritually, emotionally, and physically, consistently encouraging them in God’s plan for their life.

Academic Life: 6th Grade - Elevate 6

Elevate 6 is designed to make the transition to Middle School easier on both the student and parents. It is a gradual transition to Middle School, where students remain with only 6th grade students but still rotate through classes and experience learning from different teachers. This allows us to incorporate learning strategies like organization, time-management, and digital citizenship, so that students learn how to be responsible for their own education.

Students take seven classes a semester and classes are 48 minutes long and meet every day throughout the school year. Our classrooms are set for a traditional learning environment and beginning in 6th grade, students will have access to the school’s Mac Computer Lab.

Academic Life: 7th and 8th Grade

After Elevate 6, students move into a more traditional Middle School program for the 7th and 8th grades. With a strong foundation underneath them, students are ready for additional responsibilities such as being involved in a rigorous curriculum designed to prepare our students for success in High School. They also learn to manage a schedule and understand with greater independence, comes greater expectations.

Students take seven classes a semester and classes are 48 minutes long and meet every day throughout the school year. In 7th grade, students also have the opportunity to participate in student clubs, such as National Junior Honor Society, and student government. Our students may also participate in MAIS interscholastic sports.
