Congratulations To This Year's Winners of The Zach Rowell Scholarship

A big congratulations is in order for Cambrie Barnard and Bre Wright who have been selected as this year's recipients of the Zach Rowell Scholarship in honor of Mrs. Melissa Cole.
Each year, 9th - 12th grade students, currently in the REACH program, are given the opportunity to apply for the Zach Rowell Scholarship which provides a $500 scholarship applied to REACH cost for 2 years. REACH is Hartfield's student services program which includes Dyslexia Therapy, Classroom Accommodations, Learning Strategies, and Tutoring Services that are targeted to meet a student’s individual learning style. "We recognize that students will often exceed expectations when they are given the support they need to reach their fullest academic potential."

The application process includes questions about future goals, how REACH has helped them in their learning, what is their learning difference, and are they aware of their needs to advocate for themselves. Among several great applicants, Cambrie and Bre were chosen to receive this honor. "These two have a work ethic like no other. They look at REACH as a program to give them the tools to walk out the journey the Lord has set before them. They do not use their learning difference as a crutch. They know they see the world differently and that is a gift. Though they have to work harder, they know the Lord is shaping and modeling them for amazing things in the future. This is just a season. They have grateful hearts and are dedicated." shared Courtney Anders, Director of Academic Programs.

Congratulations, girls! We can not wait to see all of the many things you accomplish.

We would also like to thank J.T. and Sandi Rowell who make this scholarship possible. Their son, Zach Rowell, grew tremendously academically, but in confidence because of the REACH team at Hartfield, specifically with Melissa Cole.
Hartfield Academy is fully accredited by both the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), the MidSouth Association of Independent Schools (MAIS), the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and the Southern Association of independent Schools (SAIS).
