There's No Place Like Hartfield: A Look Back at Homecoming Week 2022

Hartfield students stepped into a world of excitement last week as they celebrated Homecoming Week! Both students and faculty enjoyed games, activities, and the most fun dress-up days. Enjoy the ride as we relive our favorite moments from Homecoming Week 2022!
Homecoming comes with a jam-packed week of meaningful tradition and a much-needed break in routine for many schools, and Hartfield is no exception. Our K3 through 12th graders fully got into the spirit of the week's festivities by coming to school decked out according to each day's theme: Lion Hearted Hero Monday, Twister Tuesday, Over the Rainbow Wednesday, Lions, Tigers, and Bears - OH MY! Thursday, and Spirit Day Friday. Classrooms were full of Hartfield Hawks dressed in costumes that fit each theme - real life heroes and superhero costumes, wacky hair and crazy colored outfits, colors and more colors, and animals of all kinds, just to name a few! We closed out the week with a school spirit parade on Friday, which got us all ready to cheer on the Hawks to victory later that day.

Not only were students encouraged to dress up each day, but there were also daily activities we could enjoy together. Students either took part in or watched activities such as powder puff football, large outdoor games, Family Fued, and other exciting afternoon events. This week was full of daily fun, and we can’t wait to do it again next year!

In addition to our yearly games, Upper School students participated in a Hartfield community service project packing boxes for Operation Christmas Child. It was a joy to see our students come together in special ways this week!

Such a fun week was made even better by an impressive 38-7 Hawk victory over Lamar, as well as a halftime crowning of Trevor Robinson as Homecoming Queen. Congratulations, Trevor, and Go Hawks!

We cannot wait to see what next year's Homecoming will bring. Thanks to the Hartfield Administration, many faculty and parent volunteers, and Hartfield Student Council for making "There's No Place Like Hartfield" happen!
