Worldview & Culture Exchange Program

Leading in love, connecting cultures, & forging friendships

Hosting Czech Students | March 21–April 2, 2026

The Worldview & Cultural Exchange Program at Hartfield Academy exists to cultivate meaningful international relationships while helping students understand God’s work beyond their everyday context. Through this program, students experience life, learning, and faith across cultures, deepening their worldview and strengthening their sense of purpose.

In March 2026, Hartfield will welcome four female students from our partner school, Jan Blahoslav School in Hejnice, Czech Republic, for a two-week exchange from March 21 through April 2, 2026. This will mark our third consecutive year hosting students from the Czech Republic.

In October 2024 and October 2025, Hartfield sent eight students each year to live and study alongside students at Jan Blahoslav School. Those trips proved to be deeply transformational, shaping students spiritually, academically, and relationally. Hosting Czech students allows Hartfield families to participate in that same life-changing exchange without leaving home.

Why Host a Czech Exchange Student?

Hosting is not simply providing a place to stay. It is an opportunity to model Christ-centered hospitality, invite meaningful conversations, and walk alongside a student during a formative season of her life.
Host families consistently report that this experience:
  • Strengthens family culture through shared purpose
  • Encourages empathy, maturity, and leadership in students
  • Builds lifelong global friendships
  • Offers a practical way to live out Hartfield’s mission
Host students are fully integrated into Hartfield’s programming during their stay. Planned experiences include:
  • Daily participation in school life
  • A day trip to New Orleans
  • Group outings such as Topgolf
  • Additional cultural and community experiences coordinated by Hartfield
All logistics, scheduling, and ongoing support are provided by Hartfield Academy.

Host Family Criteria

We are seeking host families who:
  • Have a daughter in grades 10–12
  • Are willing to host for the full two-week commitment
  • Desire to model faith, hospitality, and relational connection

Priority Opportunity for October 2026

Families who host during the March 2026 exchange receive priority consideration when applying for the October 2026 student trip to the Czech Republic, providing a meaningful pathway for students who may wish to experience the exchange abroad.

A Meaningful Way to Engage Globally

Hosting Czech students allows Hartfield families to participate directly in a program that has already demonstrated lasting impact on our students and community. It is a tangible investment in global perspective, Christian hospitality, and student formation.

Families interested in learning more or being considered as a host family are encouraged to contact Brittany Odom, Director of Community Development at bodom@hartfield.org or fill out the Host Family Interest Form below.
