Arts

Theater

The theater program was one of Hartfield’s first fine arts program and one of the most expansive. Beginning in 9th grade, students can enroll in a Theater class where they learn basic theater history and acting techniques. If students find this class interesting, then they would enjoy participating in one of our extracurricular performances.

The Upper School Fall Play, known as Rewritten, is presented each year in October. The fall play is a straight show (no music) and is generally a small to medium-sized cast. Each year, a student rewrites a classic and the students assemble the unique performance.

The Upper School Spring Musical is presented in April of each year. The musical supports a large cast and crew and is the Spring highlight for our Arts Department.
