Big Dreams Beginning in Third Grade!

On MLK Day, Hartfield’s third graders reflected on the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. and then shared dreams of their own. Through a thoughtful writing project, students imagined a world where their dreams come true! Some dreamed that everyone would have a home and feel safe. Others shared dreams that everyone would know and love God.
What made their writing especially meaningful was how they connected their dreams to what they could do. Students wrote about ways they could help make those dreams come true. They can do this by showing kindness, telling others about God’s love, and living out what they believe each day. One student dreamed of a kinder world and explained that it starts by being kind to others. Another shared a dream that everyone would know and love Jesus, explaining that his dream was special because he loves Jesus and has personally experienced His love.

Their words were a beautiful reminder that even their little hearts can carry big dreams and that those dreams begin with the love of God they can show through them!
