Many Firsts for Hartfield's Softball Team

Lady Hawk Softball finished the season 18-14-3. For the first time in Hartfield's Softball Program, the team won the District Championship winning conference play with a record of 8-2.
Having reached the Overall State Tournament for the first time last season, the Lady Hawks advanced to the Semi-Finals of South State again this year with wins over Cathedral and Silliman. Progressing to the MAIS Overall Class 4A-- setting new heights for the program. Hartfield Lady Hawks defeated Bayou in Game 1 of the Tournament but ended the 2019 season as a Top 6 Team in Class 4A.

A Few Other Program Firsts:
  • Another program first was that Hartfield had a full JV team this year. The future is bright for Hartfield Lady Hawk Softball!
  • Amelia Myers was selected to the MAIS ALL STAR team in 2019, the first player ever to represent Hartfield Softball at this event.
  • Jacey Callender and Amelia Myers are the first players in program history to commit to continue their playing career at the next level. Jacey has committed to Hinds Community College and Amelia committed to Belhaven. We are proud of their accomplishments and commitment to the program, having been the faces of Hartfield softball since 7th grade. They will be dearly missed.
