Hartfield Academy’s Helena Roe Signs with Millsaps College

Hartfield Academy senior, Helena Roe, signed a letter of intent to play basketball at Millsaps College this fall. Hartfield Athletics is proud to launch this all-star athlete into her college athletic career.

Helena made a huge impact on the Hartfield girls’ basketball program in her years on the team, helping set several records this year, including the most wins in program history. In a play that will live on in Hartfield history, she hit the game-winning shot which earned the Lady Hawks their first-ever State Championship. Helena has also won numerous district awards, including being selected to the State Championship All-Tournament Team, MAIS All Star, and All-MAIS Teams.

Helena was not only a productive offensive player for the Lady Hawks, but also a terrific defensive player, leading the team with four blocks per game and altering countless shots. “Helena is a remarkable young woman who works hard and leads with integrity. She is a tremendous teammate and will be an incredible asset to the Majors next season,” shared Head Coach Benton Ingram.
