Maybe you have been asked that question a time or two. You probably toss out the name of the school and have a nice conversation with a neighbor, friend, or family member about Hartfield. It’s a great conversation starter and an easy way to talk about our children.
Maybe the conversation progresses...
• “What sports do they have at Hartfield?”
• “What curriculum does Hartfield use?”
• “What is Hartfield’s Art Department like?”
The “what” questions could easily go on. But the truth is, most schools will have a sports program, an Art Department, a curriculum they use. They will have students with top scores on the ACT and students that attend Junior College. They will have incredible athletes who go onto play college ball and others who just enjoy the sport for fun. But the best question any of us can ask ourselves is “Why?”.
“Why does your child attend Hartfield Academy?”
The “why” of every matter brings us back to the center, it strikes at our motivation and isn’t so focused on a specific outcome. We choose Hartfield because of its’ distinct purpose of helping every student fulfill their God-given purpose. If that means that if your student excels in the classroom, on the field, or on stage, then we are thankful and desire to encourage your student to continue towards serving the Lord in their giftedness. But if things come harder for your student and they don’t make the team or have straight As, then we are thankful to partner with you and encourage your student to continue towards serving the Lord in their giftedness. Because our “why” isn’t dependent on what the world calls “success,” our “why” is focused on your student knowing the Lord, knowing His individualized purpose for their life, and pursuing His calling whatever that may look like.
Like we said, the outcome will look like students who are doctors, teachers, pastors, businessmen and women, and everything in between. But the heart condition of these students who progress onto the next phase of life will make all of the difference.
We are very excited for this semester's Preview Days! Preview Day is a wonderful opportunity to visit our school, meet some of our administrators, and see for yourself if you could potentially find your "why" at Hartfield. Sign up for Preview Day at www.hartfield.org/admissions/preview-day!
