The Sweetest Night: Father Daughter Sweetheart Dance 2021

Valentine’s Day weekend began with a precious Hartfield Academy tradition: the Father Daughter Sweetheart Dance! K3 through 5th grade girls were escorted by their fathers to enjoy what is often their favorite night of the year on February 12th.
Upon arrival, girls were immediately dazzled by a sprawling dance floor, a delicious spread of sweets, dance-worthy music, and all of their closest friends. This year, girls were especially delighted by the addition of activity stations such as nail painting and craft-making, giving them an extra dose of fun to bring home with them as a keepsake from the event. Split into two events based on age group to allow for as much social distancing as possible, the dance was attended by K3 through 1st grade girls and their dads first, followed by 2nd through 5th grade dads and daughters. Hartfield Student Council members put a great deal of work and creativity into planning the Father Daughter Dance this year, and this year was no exception!

While the Father Daughter Dance is especially meaningful for Hartfield dads and their daughters, it is an event that is cherished by many - including the Lower School teachers. “I love going to see all the precious little girls dressed up for the Father Daughter dance each year!” said K5 teacher, Katie Humphreys. “Not having girls of my own, it's extra special for me to get to see.  They get to look and feel like princesses for the night! What a forever memory with their daddy!”
Hartfield Academy is fully accredited by both the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), the MidSouth Association of Independent Schools (MAIS), the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and the Southern Association of independent Schools (SAIS).
