Engaging Your Child: Culture and Identity

Join us on September 14th from 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm.
Dinner will be provided to any Hartfield parent in attendance!

Covenant Conversations is an event series designed for Hartfield parents to be encouraged and equipped to better engage their children on issues that are challenging their generation.
Do you struggle to understand what motivates and guides our kids’ generation? At times, it can seem as if there is no rhyme or reason behind their thoughts and decision-making. The reality is, the world is rapidly changing, and our kids are experiencing things differently than we did.

Here are some interesting facts that highlight this. People under the age of 19 weren't alive when 9/11 occurred. Our kids’ generation has never known a world without the internet. They don’t have any recollection of a time before social media existed.

These are just some of the significant realities that are shaping and impacting our children. They have massive impacts on their worldview, their identity, and social and familial relationships.

As a covenant-Christian school, we are committed to partnering with parents and churches to prepare our students for the next stages of their lives. This means that we don’t simply educate your children for eight hours a day and then wish you the best of luck. We take seriously the covenant we have made with parents like you who understand the value of Christian education. We want to be active in equipping Hartfield parents to better engage their children from a Christ-centered perspective.

That is exactly what Covenant Conversations is: a time for parents to come be encouraged and equipped to better engage their children on challenges that are facing their generation. So, what will this event be like? You can expect:

  1. Qualified and engaging church and community leaders who will guide our evening together.
  1. Enjoy dinner and discussion where parents collaborate with one another, the speaker, and Hartfield leaders on each specific topic.
  1. Tangible resources to take home that will be a tool for you to better engage your child.

This event is free to Hartfield community members, and we hope you will join us as we grow and develop our worldview together to see every student fulfill their God-given purpose.
