What is Holy Week?

Holy Week, also known as Passion Week, is the week before Easter focusing on the last days of Jesus.  The word passion stems from the Latin word ‘passio’ which means ‘to endure suffering’.  This last week for Jesus was one of suffering as he went from being adored and praised on Palm Sunday to being accused and crucified on Good Friday.  As believers, this is the single most important act Jesus did for us in coming to be the sacrifice for our sins and conquer death once and for all.  Have you ever wondered what was it like to be there with Jesus that last week?  The scripture does walk us through that week.  Use our guide starting on Sunday, April 2 (Palm Sunday) to help you and your family remember Jesus' journey to the cross.
