Grandparents and Second Graders Create Sweet Memories Through Gingerbread Nativities
Second graders enjoyed a truly special Christmas experience as they welcomed grandparents to celebrate the birth of Jesus through a gingerbread nativity activity. While building gingerbread houses has long been a beloved tradition, this year marked the beginning of something new, one intentionally centered on the story of Christ’s birth.
Side by side with grandparents, students created edible nativities while reflecting on the true meaning of Christmas. Hugs, the biggest smile, and the sweet smell of gingerbread filled the room as families came together to focus on Jesus and His arrival at the first Christmas.
This meaningful time created memories that will last far beyond this season! At Hartfield, moments like these are treasured reminders of what it means to celebrate Christmas together!
