Spiritual Life

On campus, spiritual development is taught, modeled, and lived out. Out students attend daily Bible classes where they grow in their understanding of who God is, why He created us, and how we are to serve Him. We put feet to their learning by creating opportunities for our students to serve their community both locally and abroad.
Awakening:
At Hartfield, we are intentionally investing in the spiritual growth of your child. We believe it is one of the most important things we can do for our students, which is why we have weekly chapel services.

Our Chapel time, which we call Awakening, is designed specifically for every age group: Preschool, Elementary, Middle School, and High School. That means we have four unique services each week targeted by age and designed to encourage students with the Gospel.

Our prayer is for the weekly gatherings to be a place that allows each of us to be awakened to our need for Jesus and experience renewed life through discovering our identity in God. Parents and families are always welcome to join in on our chapel services. Come and let’s worship together!

Class Retreats:
Class retreats offer students the opportunity to grow spiritually, develop leadership, and connect with classmates. Each grade spends a school day being challenged physically and spiritually in a fun way that teaches them how to lead and work together.

Discipleship Group:
Discipleship groups are small groups that every high school student participates in periodically throughout the school year. This intentional time allows students to share life for the purpose of growing spiritually together. Each group has two faculty leaders who facilitate discussion, listen to what students have to say and help guide them into a deeper understanding of what it means to live in relationship with God.

Each discipleship group is composed of students from every grade in 9th-12th. We have found this is an excellent way for students to connect outside of their grade and share in life experiences. Plus, discipleship groups span a student's entire high school career.

Missions:
One of our core values at Hartfield is service. We desire to follow Christ by serving others and putting their needs ahead of our own. We have found that this is best taught by doing and so we offer students several opportunities to serve through Arise Week and Arise Days.
