Hartfield Students Serve Around the World During Spring Break
This Spring Break, more than 300 Hartfield students and staff served on a mission trip across the world!
Teams were sent to eight different locations, including the Dominican Republic, Querétaro and Matamoros in Mexico, two locations in Honduras (Salt & Light and Expanding Borders), Guatemala, Belize, and Ireland. While each trip looked different in location and ministry focus, they all had one goal to serve others and share the hope of the gospel!
Throughout the week, students partnered with local ministries, churches, and organizations to meet real needs in their communities. They led Vacation Bible Schools, served children and families, helped with construction and outreach projects, and built meaningful relationships with people from all different backgrounds.
For many students, these trips provided opportunities to step out in faith in new ways, whether that meant sharing their testimony, praying with someone for the first time, or simply being present and showing Christ’s love through daily tasks.
Beyond the work that was done, what stood out most were the moments of spiritual growth. Students spent intentional time in prayer allowing the Lord to work in their hearts as much as through their hands. Many returned home with a deeper understanding of their faith and a new perspective on what it means to live a life for Christ.
Mission trips are a distinctive part of the Hartfield experience, based of scripture that we are called to be servant leaders both locally and globally. This year’s trips were a powerful reminder that when students are willing to say “yes” to God’s call, He can use them in incredible ways!
