Hartfield Academy Announces Valedictorian and Salutatorian

Hartfield Academy is proud to announce Allison Maddock as Valedictorian and Sophie Harper as Salutatorian of the Class of 2026.
Allison participated in a Hartfield mission trip each of her four years in High School. Allison was selected as Star Student for 2026 and is a member of the Hartfield Hall of Fame, graduating with Highest Honors. During her time at Hartfield, Allison has received numerous academic, athletic, and artistic awards including the Head of School award every year and subject awards in advanced level Math, English, History & Science. She was selected as WAPT Scholar Athlete and AVCA All-Star her senior year and placed in state-wide MAIS art and short-story writing contests. She is also a member of the 30+ ACT club and selected for the “Life-Long Learner” award multiple years in a row. Allison played a vital role as setter on the Middle School, JV and Varsity Volleyball teams and also ran Cross-Country her senior year of high school. She was on Homecoming Court last fall and participated in the High School Musical this Spring. Additionally, Allison is a member of the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, Chick Fil A Leadership, Secretary of Interact Club, Book Club, Science Bowl, Medical Science Club, and Sub Deb. Allison graduated with a cumulative GPA of 4.95. Outside of school, Allison attends Pinelake Church. She played competitive club volleyball from 7th through 11th grades. Allison also had the opportunity to serve the local community through her church and through mission trips to Marks, MS, Guatemala, Alaska & the Dominican Republic. Allison will be attending Mississippi State University in the fall and will enter the Shackouls Honors College as a biochemistry major, receiving the top Freshman Academic Excellence, STAR Student, and Valedictorian Scholarships. 
 
Sophie is graduating with Highest Honors having achieved and maintained a 95+ average in all subject areas throughout her academic career. Sophie was chosen by her teachers as one of this year’s Hall of Fame recipients. In her years at Hartfield, Sophie has won numerous academic and subject area awards, including awards in Chemistry, Dual Chemistry, Dual Biology, Dual Political Science, and College Algebra. She is graduating with a cumulative average of 105. She is a member of Mu Alpha Theta & the National Honor Society. Sophie is a member of the 30+ ACT Club, Interact Club, Chick-Fil-A Leadership, Book Club, Science Bowl team, and Medical Science Club. Sophie has served Hartfield and the community by volunteering at numerous local organizations and making an impact through mission trips all four years of high school. She has also served as a leader on several junior high retreat and class trips. She leaves Hartfield to attend Mississippi State University plans to major in kinesiology with a concentration in their pre occupational therapy program. Sophie is receiving the academic excellence scholarship from State.
