Hartfield JV Cheer faced an unexpected challenge on their road to Nationals and responded like champions!
The team was scheduled to travel to Texas to compete at NCA Nationals, but a winter storm made travel impossible. While the disappointment was real, this group refused to let circumstances steal their joy. Instead, they pivoted and submitted videos of their routines to compete virtually.
Hartfield JV Cheer was named National Champions in two divisions:
JV/Freshman Intermediate Crowd Leading National Champions Junior High Large Game Day National Champions
Competing by video brought its own challenges, but what remained constant was their determination to give their very best.
Even more impressive was the team’s resilience through adversity. With two athletes sidelined due to injuries, Blakely Cockrell from the 7th grade team stepped up, along with Varsity cheerleader Vivian Kinniard, filling critical roles when it mattered most.
This championship roster includes:
Annie June Allen Molly Kate Bentley Avery Taylor Blakeney Reagan Britt Anna Ryan Bukvich Neelie Coley Maci Gentry Caroline Hunt Avery Taylor Ishee Makayla Johnson Harper Kahl London Legate Manning McDavid Lana Brooke McGinnis Harper McRaney Anna Claire Moore Bailee Moore Ellery Morrison Harper Neese Rivers Reed Sophie Sheffield Rivers Smith Brooklyn Strength Josie Blu Thornton Eila White
These young athletes showed that champions are defined long before results are announced!
We are incredibly proud of the way JV Cheer represented Hartfield, not only with two national titles, but with character that reflects the heart of our school.
Congratulations to our two-time National Champions! 🎉
