What a special weekend it was in Neverland as Hartfield Fine Arts presented Peter Pan! Through incredible performances students brought this timeless story to life in a way that captured both the wonder of childhood and the beauty of imagination. From the Darling nursery to adventures with pirates and Lost Boys, audiences were reminded of the joy and creativity that this cast and our Fine Arts program brings to our Hartfield family!
The production featured an outstanding cast led by Brodie Hutton as Peter Pan, Caroline Stroh as Tinker Bell, Claire Young as Wendy Darling, Riley Douglas as John Darling, and Coit Oates as Michael Darling. Owen Dew and Ava Grace Ingram portrayed Mr. and Mrs. Darling, while Kate Welch brought the lovable Nana to life and Aleigh Newman played Liza, the maid. Every student on stage played an important role in making Neverland feel alive, and the hard work of the cast, crew, and directors was evident in every scene.
While Peter Pan reminds us of the joy and innocence of being young, Scripture points us toward something even greater, growing in wisdom and maturity in Christ. Proverbs 1:7 reminds us, “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” True wisdom begins with knowing Him.
Our theater director, Blakeney Hatcliff, shared her hope that through Peter Pan, each person would see something of who the Lord is and how deeply He loves them. We are so thankful for the gift of storytelling and for the talents God has given our students to use for His glory. What a memorable weekend it was for Hartfield Fine Arts!
