Made for More: More Life, More Love, More Legacy

Now, Hartfield enters the 2026-27 school year celebrating its 15th anniversary, focusing on three words: Made for More. This year’s school theme, Made for More, comes from Ephesians 3:20-21, a passage reminding believers of God’s immeasurable faithfulness: “Now to Him who is able to do above and beyond all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”

As Hartfield reflects on the past fifteen years, this theme feels especially fitting. From the very beginning, Hartfield was created with purpose. The mission was never simply to build another school, but to create a place where students could grow academically, emotionally, and spiritually while learning to see the world through the truth of Scripture.

That mission has never changed. For its entire history, Hartfield Academy has existed to help families prepare their young people academically, emotionally, and spiritually for the next stages of life with a passion for learning, putting others ahead of self, and for the living and active Jesus Christ. While students are challenged through college preparatory academics and competitive athletic programs, what truly sets Hartfield apart is its intentional focus on spiritual formation. Biblical worldview is not limited to Bible class or chapel services, but woven into everyday school life as students are continually reminded that they were created on purpose and for a purpose by a God who loves them deeply.

One of the clearest pictures of God’s faithfulness to Hartfield can be seen through the Class of 2027. This year marks a historic milestone with the first graduating class made up of students who have been at Hartfield since preschool. Seventeen students began their journey at Hartfield during the school’s very first year in 2012, and now will walk across the graduation stage together in 2027.

In many ways, these students have grown up alongside the school itself. They experienced the early years of Hartfield as traditions were being formed and campuses continued to grow. They were there when many of Hartfield’s programs and events were still brand new, and now a group of students will graduate as the first class to have experienced every grade level Hartfield Academy has to offer, from K3 through 12th grade.

For rising senior Addison Hunt, being part of Hartfield’s first full K3-12 graduating class is something she does not take for granted. “Being a part of the 15 year class has been an honor,” Addison shared. “Everyone in the starting class has grown up together and has stayed close throughout the years.” When reflecting on her years at Hartfield, Addison said the thing that stands out most is “the way the Lord’s presence is in every room you walk into.”

Her family’s story is a reminder of the families who believed in Hartfield’s mission from the very beginning. They invested in something not yet fully built because they believed Christian education mattered. They believed academics and spiritual formation could work hand in hand. They believed a school centered on Christ could shape the hearts and minds of their children for the glory of God. Fifteen years later, that mission remains steady.

Addison’s mom, Amy Hunt, remembers what it was like enrolling her daughter in Hartfield’s inaugural year. “When we heard this new school was opening in August 2012, we chose to enroll Addison because trusted friends of ours were enrolling their toddlers,” Amy said. “By Christmas, because of the love of Hartfield teachers like Mrs. Amber Binkley and the Biblical worldview Hartfield was partnering with us in, while raising our daughters, John and I agreed we would stay at Hartfield as long as the Lord provided.”

Over the years, Amy says the school’s mission and the people behind it continued to make an impact on their family. “We have stayed at Hartfield first and foremost because of the mission,” she shared. “The love teachers and staff have poured into our girls is immeasurable. The academics taught by amazing elementary teachers and now upper school teachers have been honed to provide our daughters with an education that not only will serve them well in life, but one that is grounded in Biblical truth.”

There is much for Hartfield to celebrate as it reaches this milestone. The Lord has continued to guide and provide for Hartfield in ways beyond imagination from those early days. Students are growing not only academically, but also in their faith and understanding of who God created them to be.

While fifteen years is worth celebrating, Made for More is also a reminder that Hartfield’s story still has a future. The Lord has been faithful in every season. He has provided leaders, teachers, families, opportunities, growth, and vision exceeding any goals set out in 2012. What began with a small group of families and a bold step of faith has blossomed into a thriving school with a lasting impact across our community. Yet Hartfield’s greatest accomplishments cannot simply be measured in awards, championships, test scores, or growth. The true impact of Hartfield is seen in students’ lives shaped by the Gospel, and students who understand that success is ultimately found not in achievement alone, but in living for Christ and serving others.

As Hartfield celebrates fifteen years, the prayer for this next season is not simply for continued growth, but continued faithfulness. Faithfulness to the mission. Faithfulness to the truth of Scripture. Faithfulness to the calling God placed on this school from the very beginning.

Hartfield Academy was never created to settle for ordinary. It was Made for More.
